3D assets for “Railnation“. Building Design for Strategic Train Game
I had the privilege of working on an exciting project for Bright Future GmbH and their popular construction game, “Railnation”. My role involved developing the appearance of various elements such as train stations and other buildings. I was responsible for the complete modeling and texturing process, and the models were subsequently used in the game.
From the outset, the focus was on creating realistic and detailed 3D models that seamlessly fit into the world of “Railnation”. I began by meticulously modeling each building, placing a strong emphasis on precision and accuracy. Every detail, from the windows and doors to the architectural features, was carefully crafted to provide players with an immersive and authentic gaming experience.
After the modeling phase, my attention turned to texturing, where I aimed to give the buildings a realistic surface. Whether it was weathered plaster, shiny metal, or wood textures, I worked to ensure that each material looked vibrant and appealing. The textures were carefully selected and adjusted to achieve the desired visual effect, further enhancing the liveliness of the game environment.
Once the modeling and texturing were complete, the 3D models were integrated into the game. It was incredibly satisfying to see the buildings I designed and created become part of the vibrant game world. Players could now admire and interact with the faithfully recreated train stations and other elements.
Working on this project required a combination of creativity, technical skill, and attention to detail. I take pride in knowing that my 3D models made a significant contribution to the visual quality and immersion of “Railnation”. Being part of this team and contributing to the advancement of a popular construction game was a fantastic experience.
